EOS Reach the Finals of CN Specialists Awards

22nd June 22

We have some excellent news to share. The team here at EOS are celebrating after reaching the finals of the prestigious Construction News Specialists Awards with two entries shortlisted in the Envelope Specialist of the Year category.

Under the banner of ‘Taking a Safety-First System Approach to Building Envelopes’ – our collective entry for our Thrubuild®, Thruwall® and Pre-Assembled Frames (PAF) unitised solutions join three other high-profile finalists.

Our second submission to reach the finals – ‘Pre-Assembled Frames Eliminating Risk in External Envelopes’ – focuses on our latest ground-breaking non-loadbearing infill solution. Delivering crucial cost and time benefits making programme savings of up to 30%, our Pre-Assembled Frames (PAF) are custom designed for steel or concrete mainframes.

As light steel frame innovators we have invested in research to bring a new systems approach to the offsite sector. We are committed to technical excellence and as part of Etex, have some of the best building performance experts on our team. EOS can now help specifiers reduce risk and operate with more certainty by verifying our systems performance.

Through the collaborative expertise of Etex brands EOS Framing, Siniat, Promat and FSi, our light steel non-combustible systems are helping construction clients comply and compete in challenging markets. Our full-scale testing regimes study the performance of products working together to establish how they interact in ‘real’ circumstances, such as fire conditions or when exposed to wind and rain.

Our range of Thrubuild®, Thruwall® and Pre-Assembled Frames have been developed to eliminate uncertainty surrounding the design and specification of the external envelope. All components and products in the systems have been rigorously tested together for fire, acoustic, weathering, airtightness, durability and mechanical performance. Fire resistance periods of 60, 90 and 120 minutes are achievable. When these systems are built with Etex Group components and materials, following a validation process — Etex award a 30-year warranty.

Needless to say, we are really chuffed. It’s a great achievement to reach the finals of such competitive awards. We are very proud that our collaborative expertise has been acknowledge by such eminent judges. We will be heading to London in July to present to the judging panel and the awards will be announced on the 22 September 2022, at The Brewery, London. We’ll keep you posted!
