Outstanding Product Innovation Recognised by Offsite Judges

24th July 20

The Offsite Awards have grown in stature year on year and despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, the event organisers announced record levels of entries. The judges declared that the standard was higher than ever and competition to be shortlisted has been ‘fierce’. With 21 categories and over 200 entrants – EOS is proud to announce that they have reached the finals of the coveted Product Innovation Award.

Steve Thompson Managing Director for EOS said of this success: ‘Our widely acclaimed Thrubuild® system range is the result of close collaboration between Etex brands – EOS, Siniat and Promat. As a group, we are committed to technical excellence and have some of the best fire experts in the UK on our team. We are delighted this work has been recognised by the Offsite Award judges and are all looking forward to the ‘virtual’ award ceremony in September.’

The performance of building materials is under an unprecedented spotlight. Regulations tend to deal with individual products and how they perform in laboratory tests. However, EOS consider material providers should have full-scale testing regimes that study the performance of products working together to see how they interact in ‘real’ circumstances, like under fire conditions or when exposed to wind and rain.

As a result, EOS has developed a range of tried and tested Thrubuild® light steel frame panelised systems, offsite manufactured to rigorous quality standards. The Thrubuild® system range has been engineered for structural performance to the latest Eurocode and after completing rigorous fire, acoustic, weathering, airtightness and mechanical testing and are supported by a 30-year warranty.

Virtual Offsite Awards Ceremony
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Offsite Awards will be taking place online this year via a live, Virtual Awards Ceremony from 4pm until 6pm on Tuesday 22 September 2020. To join in the celebrations, go to:
